Welcome to the Market!
We are open every week throughout the year. We take orders from 12noon on Fridays until 8:00pm on Sundays. Pick up is on Tuesdays at your choice of three different locations:
- EVANS – Augusta Jewish Community Center, 898 Weinberger Way, Evans, 4pm-6pm.
- AUGUSTA – Buona Caffe Roastery, 520 Reynolds St, Augusta, 5pm-7pm
- GROVETOWN – Warren Grovetown, 777 Horizon S. Pkwy, Grovetown, 5:30pm-7:30pm

King Oyster mushroom has light dark tan cap, long white stem. This stout and thick mushroom is pleasantly chewy and meaty and can be used from the top of the cap to the base of the stem. It has a wonderful nutty flavor with delicate and woodsy taste.
Because of its versatility and firm, tender and meaty texture, it became a favorite of connoisseur chefs.
Cooking Suggestions
Great for BBQ, grilling and roasting. Just slice and toss the with olive oil or butter, or wonderfully sautéed, stir-fried, deep fried and baked.

Mushrooms - Maitake MushroomsGrower: Woodland Valley Mushrooms

Maitake mushroom, also known as Hen of the Woods. Given this name because both their unique appearance that resembles layers of chicken feathers and their meaty texture and flavor that when cooked just right, tastes just like chicken! You can swap maitake out in some of your favorite chicken dishes. Incorporate them into your favorite pasta dishes, soups, add them to pizza or try them battered and deep-fried for vegan chicken nuggets.
Fresh Maitake are best when consumed within two weeks, but will retain their flavor for at least a year when frozen or dried. To store in the freezer just clean, slice, put on a cookie sheet in the freezer until they are frozen through, then transfer to freezer safe container for later use.
This delicious mushroom is a favorite not only because it's so tasty, but more importantly it has broad ranging health properties.
