Agape Chocolates is a chocolatier that started as an idea to bring handcrafted, artisanal chocolate to the Aiken, SC area in the Summer of 2015. The company got its start back in 2010 making truffles for family and friends for the holidays and special occasions. Our goal is to create a brand that is as strong and impactful as the flavors themselves. Agape Chocolates is all about handcrafted, chocolaty goodness with a conscience. Our goal is to take a bite out of childhood hunger one bar at a time by making and marketing chocolate that will not only tantalize your taste buds, but make you feel good by helping feed local area children. For every bar sold, an at-risk child in the CSRA is fed a meal through Golden Harvest Food Bank’s BackPack program.

Agape Chocolates’ current line includes flavors such as dark chocolate with honey, dark chocolate with popping sugar and dried blueberries, dark chocolate with salted caramel, milk chocolate with peanut butter, honey and cinnamon, milk chocolate with dried cherries and popping sugar, and others that pair a sense of familiar comfort with a zing to the palate, along with eye catching branded packaging that is lighthearted and beautiful. In addition to the existing product line, seasonal/limited addition bars will be introduced throughout the year.

We choose the name Agape Chocolates because we believe it reflects our mission to “take a bite out of childhood hunger one bar at a time”. The word AGAPE is Greek for “selfless love”; love extended to ALL people (not to mention a nod to my Greek heritage)! In Latin, it translates to “caritas” which is where we get the word CHARITY. As you try our chocolates for the first time or the one-hundredth time, we hope each bite brings a smile to your face and warmth to your heart.  We strive to make sure that our customers receive the freshest, highest quality and best artisan chocolates they have eaten.
