Freeman's Mill Wheat Flour is Stone Ground using local grown Winter Wheat. The Whole Grain is ground using our 24" Davis Stone Mill and then sifted on our 48" Meadows Bolter through flour silks producing a soft, beautifully colored, wheat flour. The Coarse Bran, Shorts, and Middlings are sifted out and offered for sale separately. Our grain is not de-germinated, so this is, at the present, a seasonal item that must be stored in the freezer. The flour is bagged in white paper 2-lb bags. This product is local but not organic. This flour is NOT bleached.

[30904] Angel's Trumpet* - Brugmansia Brugmansia is a genus of seven species of flowering plants in the family Solanaceae. They are woody trees or shrubs, with pendulous flowers, and have no spines on their fruit. Their large, fragrant flowers give them their common name of angel's trumpets, a name sometimes used for the closely related genus Datura. (Datura differ from Brugmansia in that they are herbaceous perennials, with erect or nodding, rather than pendulous, flowers - and usually spiny fruit). *Brugmansia species are amongst the most toxic of ornamental plants, containing tropane alkaloids of the type responsible also for the toxicity of the infamous deadly nightshade. All seven species are known only in cultivation or as escapes from cultivation, and no wild plants have ever been confirmed. They are therefore listed as Extinct in the Wild by the IUCN Red List, although they are popular ornamental plants and still exist wild outside their native range as introduced species. It is suspected that their extinction in the wild is due to the extinction of some animal which previously dispersed the seeds, with human cultivation having ensured the genus's continued survival. During late April and early May, long after many desert wildflowers have run their course, desert mesquite blooms. Mesquite flowers form a long pod of yellow blossoms. One of the most common desert mesquite trees is called the “honey mesquite.” (As a beekeeper, you know you are on the right track when a plant has the word “honey” in its title!) Honey mesquite is found throughout the Southern United States, especially in the deserts of California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. Eat it up, it’s way better than sugar, and tastes so gosh darn good! If you are a grilling fanatic, you have to try this on your favorite meat. There really is a nice woody edge to this honey that the that the trained palette is sure to appreciate. Mesquite honey tends to crystallize fairly quick when it does crystalize. Crystal size and color can vary from very light almost white to amber depending on surrounding vegetation. If you like it thick, get the crystallized Mesquite in the options below. When you pick Mesquite below, a crystallized option will appear and you can choose it if you like. THIS IS RAW PROPOLIS AND NEEDS FURTHER PROCESSING TO BE USED MEDICINALLY OR COSMETICALLY. It is a complex mixture that honey bees produce by mixing resins gathered from tree buds, sap flows, or other botanical sources with beeswax, honey, and enzymes. It is used as a sealant for unwanted open spaces in the hive. Its color varies depending on its source, with dark brown as the most common. Propolis is sticky at and above 68 degrees F, while at lower temperatures, it becomes hard and brittle.
