We’re gearing up for tomorrow’s TEDx Augusta event where local flavors sourced from more than a dozen farmers willl be featured and celebrated. Deepest appreciation to the local farmers who grew these tasty tidbits, the local chefs who prepared them, and the local volunteer advocates who will share them with 700-plus participants. On this beautiful winter week we are gearing up to participate in the TEDX Augusta event on Sat Feb 3. Our goal: to celebrate local foods and farmers among Augusta’s movers, shakers, makers and thinkers. “Food citizenship” is a new term to me. It is an academic term to describe ways in which we attempt to connect with our local food system in life-changing ways.
