THE ON-LINE MARKET IS OPEN AT AUGUSTA LOCALLY GROWN

FALL SEASON VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR OUR “100 IN HARRISBURGRAISED BED PROJECT – We’ll continue piecing together 100 raised beds to eventually plant all over the neighborhood this fall and winter. Come help at the Veggie Truck Market on Oct 14, Oct 21 and 28. Bring a cordless drill! 4:30pm-7pm.

FRESH INGREDIENTS NEEDED – We’re hosting a series of six cooking classes featuring local, seasonal veggies, at the West End Market. The classes will be held on Thursday evenings, in November and December, for Harrisburg residents on scholarship. If you’ve got extra veggies, fruits or nuts to share from your gardens – or even a little deer meat from your freezer – we promise to put it all to good use. Contact kim@augustalocallygrown.org to donate.

SUN, NOV 2 – CROP MOB AT CLYDE’S FRESH PRODUCE FARM IN GROVETOWN. Bring your shovel and volunteer on this family farm where we’ll be planting dozens of fruit trees for an afternoon in Grovetown.
