THE ON-LINE MARKET IS OPEN AT AUGUSTA LOCALLY GROWN

Get out on a farm this spring & summer! We at ALG are looking forward to three farm events coming up soon:

Sat, May 19 – Yoga Retreat at White Hills Farm
This all day event will include morning and afternoon yoga sessions, a spa product workshop, farm tour, Q&A sessions with our yoga instructor, Carrie Anne, of Carry Om Yoga, LLC and a very delicious vegetarian lunch catered by Chef Megan of Creative Cuisine Chef Megan. All levels of yoga are welcome- including beginners! $100 per person. Call Amy for more info, questions, or to confirm your registration: 706-595-5081.

Sunday, May 20 – Spring Farm Tour & Strawberry Fun at Clydes Fresh Produce
Join farmers Lela and Clyde Foster at Clyde’s Fresh Produce in Grovetown for their annual spring farm tour, just in time for strawberry season. Take a hay ride, see the farm, and buy from their farm stand. No charge for entry. For an extra bonus this berry season, EAT Local will feature a strawberry crepe making activity/$5 person. Hours are 2pm-5pm. 5301 Meadowlark Lane, Grovetown, GA.

Sun, June 24 – Blueberry Picking at Herb N Berries
Augusta Locally Grown will sponsor a day of blueberry picking at Herb N Berries farm in Montmorenci, SC, not far from Aiken, SC. Come as early as 7:30am, and as late as 11:3am; we don’t recommend you wait until the heat sets in! We’ll be doing a blueberry cooking demo too! Blueberries cost $3/pound. Address is 148 Keeper Lane, Montmorenci, SC. No reservations required, but if you’d like more information, contact Kim at 706-288-7895.
