We’re filling our Fall Season slots now for class visits to Icebox Urban Farm. Using STEM-based curriculum from LifeLab, we offer service-learning opportunities for your school-age students on this city farm in downtown Augusta. Thursday mornings, starting in September. Wanna truly help your students make the connection between the natural sciences and their food. This is the place! Contact:

TATTOOS & TSHIRTS CONTEST!
In celebration of National Farmers Market Week, we’ll will have “I Love Farmers Markets” temporary tattoos for distribution at all our market locations on Tuesday, August 9. Here’s the contest: photo yourself, a family member, or a friend wearing that tattoo in a way that truly conveys how much you appreciate the food your farmers grow! Text that photo to 706-288-7895 no later than Friday, Augusta 12, at 5pm. Five top photos will be selected and each will win one of our new, limited edition, “Vote with your Fork” tshirts.

SAT, AUG 6 – VOLUNTEER WORK DAY AT ICEBOX URBAN FARM
Come sweat with ALG and the good folks at Icebox Urban Farm as we get the campus ready for school group education visits this fall! 8am-1pm. We ALWAYS feed our volunteers healthy, beautiful food. TUES, AUG 9 – NATIONAL FARMERS MARKET WEEK, CELEBRATED AT THE VEGGIE TRUCK FARMERS MARKET!
Come get silly with us in celebration of this fabulous national movement. Tattoos and tshirt-give-aways are planned! Grass-Fed Burgers with Henry, Kids Games with Becca and a Cooking Demo with LaDonna! Support the most feel-good farmers market in Augusta. And yes, we double EBT!!! Every Tuesday, 4:30pm-7pm, at 1850 Broad Street, Augusta.

Join with other local food activists, led by Georgia Organics, to make some real progress in our community together! Location TBA.

There’s always something creative and fun to work on at this campus, dedicated to school group education. We’ll also be installing more free raised beds at individual homes in the community of Harrisburg! Join our volunteer groups from 9am-1pm. And yes! SUN, SEPT 25 — THREE FARM TOUR & PROGRESSIVE FARM DINNER
We’re very excited to announce another “Three Farm Tour & Progressive Farm Dinner!” This time we’re focusing on the Aiken area. Meet the good folks at Pascalina Farm for soup and salad; Good Earth Farm for meat stew; and Trail Ridge Goat Dairy for dessert. Tickets are on sale now through our on-line market! $20 each. 1p-5:30p. A limited 25 tickets will be available. Buy now! This is a very popular event.

SAT-SUN, OCT 28-29 – “HARVEST BYTES” – A FARM TO TABLE TECHNOLOGY EVENT
Join us as we partner with the Clubhou.se in downtown Augusta to explore ways in which sustainability and technology intersect to improve our local food system overall. Partake in an intellectually satisfying, gastronomically-elegant, farm-to-table meal created by the dynamic duo of Chef Charleen Tinley and Chef Jonathan Marks, formerly of the Roosters Beak. Learn about the intersection of microbes and wellness from speaker Dr. Steve Fountain. We’ll kick it all off with a competitive Good Food Hack-A-Thon the night before! Looking for sponsors now!
