SAT, JUL 18 – A MID-SUMMER NIGHT’S FARM TOUR AT CLYDES FRESH PRODUCE – Come get to know your farmers at Clyde’s Fresh Produce. Free entrance and watermelon slices for this evening tour in Grovetown. 6-8p. Farm produce for sale, along with pulled pork sandwiches and burgers prepared by local Award Winning Pit Master Patrick Sutter! Make a family outing of it all!

SUN, JULY 19 — POSTPONED! BUCKET GARDENING. So sorry to have to postpone this workshop but instructor Stefanie is getting some much-needed surgery. We wish her all the best in her recovery and hope to reschedule in an upcoming season. If you’ve already purchased a ticket for this event, you’ll be getting a refund soon.

MON, JULY 20 – GEORGIA GROWN FEED MY SCHOOL PROGRAM OPPORTUNITY – Attention growers! ALG will attend a “Meet and Greet” for the Georgia Grown Feed My School Program this Monday, July 20. If you are interested in more details about selling to Burke County schools through this program, please call Kim Hines, or email Brianna Dumas at bdumas@burke.k12.ga.us.

TUE, JULY 21 – FEATURED FARMERKHAKALAKI FARM” – Come meet your farmer from Khakalaki Farm this Tuesday during the on-line market pick-up at the AJCC. Kathryn will be serving up samples of her meats raised on her permaculture farm located in Trenton, SC. She’ll also bring a couple of baby farm animals to enjoy. 4-pm-6pm.

TUE, JUL 21 – VEGGIE TRUCK FARMERS MARKET – Come support the most feel-good farmers market in town! Enjoy wonderful cooking demos by Chef Victoria Jessie. Tuesdays, 4:30pm-7pm, at 1805 Broad Street, Augusta, in the park across from the Kroc Center. And yes! We double EBT/SNAP!

THU, JUL 23 – EVANS TOWNE FARMERS MARKET – We’ll be serving up Tink’s Grass-Fed Beef burgers with grilled veggies again! Come to the market to shop; stay at the market to picnic! Burgers and grilled vegetarian sandwiches start at 4:30 and go til they’re sold out! Also, come hear local musician Nick Brown perform … such a treat! And yes! We double EBT/SNAP!

THUR, AUG 6 – MIDTOWN MARKET’S “FIRST THURSDAY” TO BENEFIT FOR G.R.O.W. HARRISBURG – Come on out to the Midtown Market’s “First Thursday,” 5pm-8pm. SAT, AUG 15 – GREENHOUSE GANG WORK DAY AT ICEBOX MINISTRIES IN HARRISBURG – Come help us restore this beautiful old greenhouse, smack dab in the middle of Harrisburg. SUN, SEPT 20 – BRIDGE BUILDING GARDEN-TO-TABLE COMMUNITY MEAL IN HARRISBURG – St Luke UMC will host a Sunday evening community meal – block party style – featuring a sampling of veggies from many of the 100 in Harrisburg raised bed gardens throughout the neighborhood.
