TUE, JUL 7 – VEGGIE TRUCK FARMERS MARKET – Come support the most feel-good farmers market in town! Tuesdays, 4:30pm-7pm, at 1805 Broad Street, Augusta, in the park across from the Kroc Center. And yes! We double EBT/SNAP!

THU, JUL 9 – GRASS-FED BURGERS DAYS AT THE EVANS TOWNE FARMERS MARKET – We’ll be serving up Tink’s Grass-Fed Beef burgers with grilled veggies again! Come to the market to shop; stay at the market to picnic! Burgers and grilled vegetarian sandwiches start at 4:30 and go til they’re sold out!

TUE, JUL 14 – HERBAL CONCOCTIONS, TASTINGS AND DEMOS WITH WHITE HILLS FARM AT SOUTHERN MADE – Join lavender farmer Lisa Kessler at Southern Made in downtown Augusta for a late morning and early afternoon of sampling and demos using local seasonal herbs. Come ask your questions! This farmer/forager knows her stuff!! 10a-2p, 1850 Broad Street, Augusta.

THU, JUL 16 – THE GREAT TOMATO SANDWICH COOKING CONTEST — 8 adult cooks, 8 unique sandwiches, 1 trophy! Do you know a fabulous home cook or local chef? Encourage them to compete in this 2nd annual event at the Evans Towne Farmers Market. Email kim@augustalocallygrown.org.

SAT, JUL 18 – A MID-SUMMER NIGHT’S FARM TOUR AT CLYDES FRESH PRODUCE – Come get to know your farmers at Clyde’s Fresh Produce. Free entrance and watermelon slices for this evening tour in Grovetown. Times announced soon!

SUN, JULY 19 — BUCKET GARDENING with Stefanie at Bucket Lady Farm in Augusta! Learn all that’s possible (and even a little that shouldn’t be possible) when growing food in tight places. This is an adult-only event; mimosas “may” be served. Tickets on sale now for $5 each through the ALG on-line market. Or email kim@augustalocallygrown.org.

SAT, SEPT 12 – SOUTHERN SCRATCH GRAND OPENING – Everyone’s favorite goodies-maker – Kathryn Filipiak of Southern Scratch – is opening up a uniquely fabulous breakfast place in Washington GA.
