THE AUGUSTA LOCALLY GROWN MARKET IS OPEN
SOUPER KIDS CAFÉ – SAT, NOV 10
Augusta Locally Grown will team up with a slew of community volunteers to create an outdoor, pop-up “Souper Kids Café” for residents of the Lake Olmstead Housing Community in Augusta. This event will engage 30-40 children in the cooking of six big pots of vegetable-based soups to feed 100 people community-style. Volunteers include Chef Charleen Tinley of Culinary Connections, several professionals from the Augusta Dieticians Association, as well as medical students from GHSU and volunteers of the Harrisburg Veggie Truck Initiative. If you’d like to help underwrite the cost of veggies for this project, please make a donation to the Veggie Truck through our on-line market.
POULTRY SWAP & SALE – SAT, NOV 10
